WORK HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICY
OBLIGATIONS
Management is firmly committed to a policy enabling all work activities to be carried out safely, and with all possible measures to remove (or at least reduce) risks to the health, safety, and welfare of workers, contractors, authorized visitors, and anyone else who may be affected by our operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Management:
Will provide and maintain as far as possible:

A safe working environment

Safe systems of word

Ensuring all plant and equipment is safe

Facilities for the welfare of workers

Ensure all employees have suitable information, instruction, training and supervision that is reasonably necessary to ensure that each worker is safe from injury and risks to health

A commitment to consult and cooperate with workers in all manners relating to health and safety in the work place

A commitment to continually improve a performance through effective safety management

Developing and implementing emergency and evacuation procedures
To achieve this, we will:

Systematically identify and control all hazards in our workplace. Where there are significant hazards we will take all practically reasonable steps to eliminate or minimize these hazards to prevent any injury or damage.

Inform all employees of these hazards and the risk controls and ensure all employees are trained and supervised.

Accurately record all accidents, incidents, and illnesses in the workplace and take all reasonably practical steps to learn from and prevent these events from occurring in the future.

Inform and train all employees in emergency and evacuation procedures.

We will comply with the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015, Health & Safety Regulation 2016, NZS 4801 & 4804 Standards and all Good Practice Guidelines, Approved Codes of Practice and Safe Operating Procedures which are relevant to the workplace.

WORK HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICY
Workers:
Each worker has an obligation to:

Be presented fit for work i.e. free of drugs, alcohol and/or fatigue

Comply with safe work practices, with the intent of avoiding injury to themselves, others and damage to plant and equipment

Take reasonable care of the health and safety of themselves and others
-
Wear personal protective equipment and clothing provided to them where necessary
-
Comply with any direction given by management for health and safety
-
Not misuse or interfere with anything provided for health and safety
-
Report all accidents and incidents on the job immediately, no matter how minor
-
Report all known or observed hazards to their supervisor or manager
-
Check and inspect any electrical tools prior to use
-
Ensure correct use of all tools and equipment on site
-
Keep all electrical test equipment calibrated and in good and working order
-
Complete job hazard analysis and identify any possible hazards or danger in the workplace prior to commencing any work
-
A complete step back 5x5 work process plan prior to commencing work.
Application of this policy
We seek the co-operation of all workers, customers and other persons. We encourage suggestions for realizing our health and safety objectives to create a safe working environment with a zero- accident incident rate.
This policy applies to all business operations and functions including those situations where workers are required to work offsite.
